Oxford Crest Toowoomba, featuring 70 spacious units, was officially opened by Toowoomba Mayor, Dianne Thorley, on September 11, 2004. At the opening, Mayor Thorley described the village as “a wonderful development for Toowoomba” providing “an essential link to our seniors” and quipped “have you got a unit for me?”
Oxford Crest Toowoomba’s units comfortably accommodate both singles and married couples. All units feature one bedroom, an ensuite, built-in robe, and kitchen. Front and back doors to each unit allow for flow-through breezes. Our Stage 2 units also include a front and rear courtyard. Security screens on all windows and doors as well as reverse cycle air-conditioning to every unit.
A large air-conditioned residents’ clubhouse features a dining room, lounge, library, computer, large television, stereo and DVD player.
A large outdoor pergola area has been constructed in the centre of the village to give a lovely outdoor sitting area. Manicured lawns and gardens throughout the village and parking spaces provided for residents and visitors. A communal laundry is available with four washers and four dryers – free of charge. Meal and linen services are available.
Located just across the road, Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre offers approximately 80 shops including a Woolworths supermarket and Big W variety store, chemist, post office and several banks. Oxford Crest is only 2.5km from the Grand Central Shopping Centre and city centre.

Coming from Brisbane along the Warrego Hwy:
- Follow Highway up the range and around into James Street.
- Oxford on James can be found approximately 3kms along James Street on the left-hand side of the road, directly opposite Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre.
- The entrance is just before the lights to the entrance of the Shopping Centre.
